| my air is fixed. i get paid friday, the 15th. i saw my mom yesterday, and i might see her again today. i need to write an entire paper by eleven tomorrow morning. i'm taking donations to send animals to South Africa through Heifer International and my goal is 1500 dollars. if you're interested comment here or email me at tkc06001@cub.uca.edu or call me. i'll be putting fliers up all over UCA and Hendrix, as well as on Facebook and stuff. so, let me know if you want to help families in third-world countries achieve self-sufficiency and gain hope and knowledge. who wouldn't want to do that?! xx tara | | |
| one would think that, given how much ashley and i are paying to live in our dorm room, we might have like...air conditioning, or something. not true. i know, we were shocked too! (it's been broken for a week and no one has "had time to come and fix it." puke.) i'm almost done with my training at starbucks, which is good. it's only bad because i have to be there every day until next tuesday, at least until seven, but more commonly until eight. studying fits in where? it's okay for the time being, but i only want 10-15 hours in the future, when tests start happening. i also went to the alabaster dance practice at six this morning (my day started and five and looks like it will end around midnight) and that was incredible! i had so much fun and it was really nice to dance again. i'm a little sore, but i'm glad because that means "it's working!" tomorrow, at two (because i get out of class at half past one and don't have to be at work until half past three) i'll probably got get my tour of the HPER Center, so that i can take classes in the minimal spare time i have. my goal is to lose about twenty, to twenty five pounds. if you knew how much i weigh, you would not think that was too much. hopefully, i carry it well. adam and i are doing wonderfully, i love being a barista (even though i'm technically not one yet) and classes aren't too bad. well, history's bad because my professor and i don't speak the same language. that was likely to constitute a problem. other than that, though, they're great and i'm doing fine. i'm actually getting pretty good at time-management and juggling. anyhow... that's all i'm going to bore you with for now. since i don't update as often, i try to give you kids something hearty to read when i do. you know, i love you all and i want you all to get a few minutes away from boredom when you visit this page. love love love xx tara | | |
| ...i've been battling the idea of reading all this history crap all day. fortunately, it's all i have left to do today. i need to read some more health stuff tomorrow, but i have health class at two on mwf, so i'm not too worried about it just yet. i'm in the computer lab at hendrix, and it's pretty weird to be just sitting in here typing on xanga. the internet at UCA (especially in my dorm) totally sucks, and i'm 100% stealing wireless access from the guys across the courtyard. adam's reading over my shoulder as i write this, but it's okay because he looks so cute when he does it. aw. oh! hanna broke her head open on a wakeboard today and had to get ten staples in her scalp. holy crap, you know? she's okay, and was okay throughout the whole ordeal, but gosh. her head was all...broken. geez! chi alpha cookout was good. tomorrow i work from 2:30 - 7:30 (or six thirty...i'll leave when they tell me to, i guess). wednesday morning i have alabaster dance from 6am-7:40ish am. should be fun. i need dance shoes. if you have dance shoes you aren't using, give 'em up. xx tara | | |
